Kjølv Egeland is a doctoral candidate in international relations at the University of Oxford, Wadham College. His thesis explores the history of the nuclear nonproliferation and disarmament regime, focusing on changes in multilateral diplomatic practices. His broader research interests include international relations theory, ethics, and the philosophy of international law.

Egeland holds an MPhil in Peace and Conflict Studies and a BA in International Studies, both from the University of Oslo.
